The literal translation is 'Everybody (anyone) can need a beer'. Alle = Everybody (anyone) kan = can trænge = need (be in need of) til = to en = a (one) HOF = beer The word 'HOF' is the old local brand name of a regular Carlsberg lager (pilsner) that is known all over the world. In Denmark, as there are many varieties of Carlsberg beers available, both bottled and draught beers.
